The 35th Education & Careers Expo in Hong Kong, running from January 22-25, 2026, offers upgraded career services and themed programming to align education with evolving market needs, supporting Hong Kong's development as an international talent hub.

The 35th Education & Careers Expo, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will be held from January 22 to 25, 2026, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre with free public admission. This year's event features separate Education and Careers sections, bringing together over 860 organizations from 23 countries and regions, including government bureaus, tertiary institutions, and education centers, to provide comprehensive information on further studies and career opportunities.
The Expo's enhanced CV Clinic introduces new services such as Personal Colour Analysis and the 16 Personality Types Magic Quiz, alongside one-to-one trainee and career consultations and an Aptitude Test Ready Station. These value-added services aim to help job seekers gain deeper insights into their personal strengths and plan career paths with greater clarity. Smilely Lam, Assistant Executive Director of the HKTDC, stated that with the theme 'Go with Your Passion, Go Beyond Limits,' the four-day Expo focuses on key areas including Civil Servants & Public Services, Next Gen Technologies, Healthcare & Wellness, and Greater Bay Area Opportunities to align with social development and market needs.
Aligned with the 2025 Policy Address measures to consolidate Hong Kong's role as an education hub, the Expo hosts themed talks and seminars to encourage students from neighboring regions to pursue studies and careers in Hong Kong. Highlights include the 'A Date with Giants' seminar featuring representatives from enterprises like J.P. Morgan and Lenovo, designed to inspire university and overseas students to explore opportunities in technology, finance, entrepreneurship, and further studies. The China Hong Kong Elite Union will invite 'Hong Kong Drifters'—Mainland students studying in Hong Kong—to share their education-to-employment experiences, providing insights for non-local students.
The Education section is divided into four zones: Local Studies, Non-Hong Kong Education, Lifelong Learning, and Youth Zone. The Local Studies zone showcases institutions like the Vocational Training Council (VTC), which will display the SOPHIE 8x model, winner of the World Solar Challenge, highlighting how courses nurture technology talent. The Hong Kong Institute of Construction will present immersive learning experiences such as the AI Tower Crane Simulator, using AI technology to simulate construction site environments. Institutions are introducing new application-oriented programs, including robotics and automation engineering, to meet global demand for technology talent and strengthen education-workplace linkages.
The Non-Hong Kong Education zone comprises consulates, overseas universities, and education consultancy organizations offering study abroad advisory services covering Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Belt and Road countries. The Lifelong Learning and Youth Zone sections provide further education and industry information for working professionals, career switchers, and young people. The Employees Retraining Board (ERB) will introduce skills training programs across multiple industries, while the Professional Communication Association will share insights on public speaking and job interview techniques to enhance soft skills.
On the employment front, the Careers and Recruitment Square zones offer diverse career pathways, with over 30 government departments and public organizations setting up booths, including the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Airport Authority Hong Kong, and the Civil Service Bureau. The Recruitment Square provides employment information and support services, with some employers conducting onsite interviews. The upgraded CV Clinic features six services, including one-to-one CV consultations by recruitment platform Jobsdb, career consultation by MT20 Consulting Limited, Personal Colour Analysis by clincolour, and the 16 Personality Types Magic Quiz by CTgoodjobs. Job seekers can reserve these services in advance via the Education & Careers Expo website.
During the Expo, four themed days will feature over 100 activities with industry experts sharing insights on innovation and technology, public service careers, and working holiday programs. Highlights include singer-songwriter Serrini sharing her career path, film professionals discussing technology in storytelling, and Radio DJ Ah Jeng sharing her growth story. Themed days include Civil Servants & Public Services on January 22, Next Gen Technologies on January 23, Healthcare & Wellness on January 24, and Greater Bay Area Opportunities on January 25, with speakers like Calvin Tse on GBA entrepreneurship and Angela Stanton on career development.
