3TC, a multi-sport facility in East Rochester, has added three indoor pickleball courts with public access and no membership requirement, addressing the sport's growing popularity in the region.

The 3TC facility, home of Craig Demmin Soccer, has expanded its offerings by adding three indoor pickleball courts to accommodate the increasing demand for the sport in Rochester. The courts are available to the public without requiring membership from Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with adjusted hours on Wednesdays ending at 3 p.m. This initiative comes as pickleball continues to gain traction nationwide, and local players seek more indoor options during colder months.
Featuring an Omnicourt "cushioned" surface, the courts provide consistent bounce, excellent traction, and shock absorption to reduce joint impact, enhancing player comfort and safety. Tom Curtin, who oversees pickleball operations at 3TC, described the facility as having excellent lighting and generous court spacing, creating an optimal environment for play. The facility will host Open Play sessions at various times: 7-9 a.m., 9 a.m.-12 p.m., and 1-4 p.m., with Wednesday sessions running from 1-3 p.m. Players can participate for $10 per two-hour session or $12 per three-hour session.
To register for Open Play, individuals must download the Craig Demmin Soccer app, create an account, and reserve a spot through the pickleball schedule. Curtin emphasized that first-time players receive a free session by downloading the app, creating an account, and signing a waiver. Additionally, throughout December, introductory bonuses are available: depositing $50 yields $60 in Open Play credits, while a $100 deposit provides $120 in credits. Attendance at Open Plays will be capped to ensure quality experiences, with two-hour sessions limited to 20 players and three-hour sessions to 24 players.
Craig Demmin, owner and operator of 3TC and a Rochester Raging Rhinos soccer legend with 12 years of professional experience, views pickleball as an ideal complement to the facility's soccer programs. He noted that pickleball is booming and that there is a growing need for indoor courts to meet Rochester's demand. The 3TC facility, located at https://ROC3TC.com, spans 20,000 square feet in East Rochester and has become a hub for sports enthusiasts, drawing participants from across the region for various activities. This expansion reflects a strategic move to diversify offerings and cater to the community's evolving recreational interests, potentially boosting local engagement and supporting healthy lifestyles through accessible sports facilities.
