Accelleron Names Ravin Pillay-Ramsamy to Lead Service Division

Accelleron, a global technology leader in turbocharging and fuel injection, has announced the appointment of Ravin Pillay-Ramsamy as President of its Service Division and a member of the Executive Committee, effective October 1, 2026. Pillay-Ramsamy, who will be based in Baden, Switzerland, will succeed Roland Schwarz, who has been named CEO of OMT, an Accelleron company specializing in fuel injection. Klaus Heim, current CEO of OMT, will retire at the end of September 2026.

The appointment comes at a critical time for Accelleron as it seeks to strengthen its service business, which is central to its strategy of supporting the energy transition. Daniel Bischofberger, CEO of Accelleron, expressed confidence in the new hire, stating, “We are very pleased to welcome Ravin to Accelleron. He brings extensive international leadership experience in industrial services, engineering, business development and M&A, combined with deep expertise in power generation, oil and gas, and industrial infrastructure. His proven track record in leading global service organizations will be highly valuable as we continue to strengthen our service business and create value for our customers worldwide.”

Pillay-Ramsamy joins Accelleron from Sulzer, where he currently serves as Division President Services and is a member of the Executive Committee. Prior to that, he held several senior leadership positions within Sulzer’s Services division across EMEA and Asia Pacific. He began his career in the United States at Turbine Services Ltd., where he held roles as Business Development Director and Vice President Engineering. His educational background includes a Global MBA from Columbia Business School and London Business School, a Master’s degree in Management and Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University.

The leadership transition at OMT is also noteworthy. Roland Schwarz, who has been with Accelleron and previously ABB Turbocharging, will take over as CEO of OMT, a move that leverages his deep understanding of the company’s operations. Klaus Heim’s retirement marks the end of a long tenure, and Accelleron expressed gratitude for his contributions.

Accelleron Industries Ltd, listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange under the ticker ACLN, is dedicated to accelerating sustainability in the marine and energy industries. Its more than 3,200 employees focus on innovating products, services, and solutions that are mission-critical for the energy transition. This strategic appointment underscores Accelleron’s commitment to investing in its services division, which generates recurring revenue and fosters customer loyalty. With Pillay-Ramsamy’s extensive experience in leading global service organizations, Accelleron is well-positioned to navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by the shift towards cleaner energy sources. The company’s focus on digital solutions and aftermarket services is likely to be a key growth area, and Pillay-Ramsamy’s background in engineering and business development will be instrumental in driving innovation and expanding the company’s global footprint.
