ADAP Advocacy has published an infographic examining declining charity care provided by hospitals participating in the 340B Drug Pricing Program and its disproportionate impact on minority communities. The "340B Too Big to Fail – Charity Care" infographic, part of the organization's 340B Project, reveals that charity care requirements for hospitals to provide free care and financial assistance to low-income patients have been consistently decreasing year after year. This trend occurs alongside a staggering $220 billion in medical debt owed by patients, with hospitals accounting for nearly 75% of this debt burden.

The infographic highlights how Black and Hispanic communities are disproportionately affected by this decline in charity care and the resulting medical debt accumulation. The publication complements ADAP Advocacy's recently released commercial and forms part of the ongoing national advocacy campaign questioning whether the 340B Drug Pricing Program has become "Too Big to Fail." The organization's mission focuses on promoting and enhancing AIDS Drug Assistance Programs and improving healthcare access for people living with HIV/AIDS through collaboration with advocates, healthcare providers, government agencies, patients, pharmaceutical companies, and other stakeholders.
