Autonomic AI Unveils AssuredCode-C for Real-Time Code Generation in Autonomous Defense Systems

Autonomic AI, LLC has announced AssuredCode-C, a high-assurance software synthesis engine designed for mission-critical military platforms, hypersonic vehicles, and autonomous defense hardware. Unlike general-purpose LLM code generators, AssuredCode-C focuses on meeting stringent military-grade safety, security, and execution requirements. It restricts code generation to MISRA-compliant bare-metal C, ensuring memory safety and determinism on air-gapped embedded systems.
The process involves offline development of templates, which are populated to create specifications. These templates are exhaustively tested and simulated to ensure safety. AssuredCode-C achieves synthesis speeds under 0.5 milliseconds per code block, enabling dynamic real-time code generation at the sensor edge. Its energy consumption averages about 2 Joules per passing module, roughly 1/100th of traditional LLM inference pipelines, making it suitable for power-constrained devices like micro-UAVs and tactical hardware.
A key feature is the certified Blue-Green runtime pipeline, which ensures zero downtime and eliminates catastrophic flight-controller failures. Live sensor frames enter a certified hardware router, splitting signals between a Blue partition (authoritative) and a Green partition (shadow). The Green partition runs newly synthesized modules, with outputs monitored but not actuated. Automated comparison engines and safety gates verify behavior on live operational data, and for tactical missions, Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) verification is possible. Upon passing checks, authority is transferred atomically to the Green partition, and the former Blue becomes the new shadow, providing instant version failover.
