Ballers Aims to Redefine Social Sports and Hospitality with Nationwide Expansion

David Gutstadt and Amanda Potter, the founders of Ballers, are launching a new social sports and hospitality concept that plans to expand to more than 50 locations nationwide over the next 7-10 years. The first location is set to open in Philadelphia this month. The duo, who have a background in developing Equinox Hotels and creating Fitler Club, aim to blend sports, design, hospitality, and culture into a unique social club experience.

Ballers distinguishes itself by focusing on community building around sports and friendly competition, combined with high design and cultural experiences. The founders see an opportunity to redefine social wellness by integrating world-class sports facilities, wellness amenities, and social spaces under one roof. Their approach includes selecting cities with a strong sports culture or the potential to introduce new sports, starting with Philadelphia and Boston.

The design of Ballers spaces is intentional, aiming to create environments that are both energizing and personal. By repurposing historic buildings and incorporating local culture and art, Ballers seeks to offer a unique experience that encourages movement and connection.
