Benihana Express Expands in Miami with Second Location

The ONE Group Hospitality has announced the opening of a new Benihana Express location in Miami's Bayside Marketplace, the second in the area, as part of its strategy to expand the Benihana brand through a franchise-forward model. This 770-square-foot fast-casual restaurant offers a modern take on the traditional Benihana experience, featuring a menu that includes hibachi burritos, entrees, yakisoba bowls, and appetizers, all in a quick-service format.

Emanuel "Manny" Hilario, CEO of The ONE Group, emphasized the importance of Benihana Express and franchises in the company's growth strategy, highlighting the collaboration with franchisee Erick Passo. The new location reflects a minimalist aesthetic with Japanese-inspired touches and an open kitchen concept, aiming to bring the excitement of Benihana's teppanyaki experience to a more casual setting.

Passo, who also owns Black Market Miami and Ben’s Pizza, expressed pride in opening the second Benihana Express, viewing it as an opportunity to grow with the community and deliver quality food and fast service. The restaurant will operate daily from 11 a.m. until midnight, with plans for a third Miami location and the first West Coast operation in San Francisco later this year.
