Blue Lagoon Resources Wins Prestigious PDAC 2026 Sustainability Award for Environmental and Indigenous Partnership Excellence

Blue Lagoon Resources Inc. has been selected to receive the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) 2026 Sustainability Award, recognizing leadership in environmental stewardship and meaningful community relations in mining. The award highlights Blue Lagoon's sustainability and Indigenous partnership efforts at its Dome Mountain Gold Project in British Columbia. This recognition carries significant weight as it marks the first time in the past decade that the Sustainability Award has gone to a British Columbia project, positioning Blue Lagoon as the lone B.C. recipient during this period.

Rana Vig, President & CEO of Blue Lagoon Resources, emphasized that being recognized by PDAC for sustainability affirms the approach taken at Dome Mountain, which focuses on protecting the environment, engaging early and often with communities, and building long-term partnerships. The company expressed gratitude to the Lake Babine Nation for their trust and collaboration, noting pride in embedding these values into daily operations. Chief Wilfred Adam of the Lake Babine Nation, who served as the company's nomination sponsor, stated that Blue Lagoon has demonstrated respect for their people and land, reflecting a relationship built on listening, learning, and acting with integrity.

The PDAC Awards have recognized dedication and ingenuity driving advancement in communities across Canada and around the world since 1977. Recent honorees include Teck Resources, The Lundin Foundation, and B2Gold, underscoring the calibre of sustainability leadership recognized by PDAC. In a jurisdiction known for rigorous permitting standards, this award acknowledges Blue Lagoon's successful transition from exploration to mining while maintaining strong environmental stewardship and respect for Lake Babine Nation values.

The award will be presented at PDAC's Awards Celebration & Nite Cap during the PDAC Convention in Toronto on March 3, 2026. This recognition comes at a significant time for Blue Lagoon, which achieved a major milestone in February 2025 with the granting of a full mining permit for Dome Mountain, one of only nine issued in British Columbia since 2015. The company has since commenced underground mining operations, with mineralized material from Dome Mountain being processed under a long-term toll milling agreement with Nicola Mining, and first gold sales targeted for the fourth quarter of 2025.
