The Boca International Jewish Film Festival announces its 2026 return with an expanded multi-venue format and early celebrations, highlighting its growing role in showcasing diverse Jewish cinematic voices and fostering community engagement through film.

The Boca International Jewish Film Festival (BIJFF) will return for its third annual edition in 2026 with an expanded lineup and extended schedule across multiple South Florida venues. The festival will feature special pre-festival events starting in January, culminating in a three-week showcase of international Jewish and Israeli films throughout February and March.
Co-founder Wendy Honig emphasized the festival's growth, stating, "We're building on the excitement of the past two years to make 2026 our biggest and boldest festival yet. From glamorous red carpets to intimate talkbacks, we can't wait to bring our community together once again through the joy of film." The expansion reflects increasing audience demand and the festival's commitment to presenting diverse cinematic perspectives.
Pre-festival activities include a Big Reveal event on January 14 at Movies of Delray, where the full 2026 lineup will be announced with sneak peeks and surprise guest appearances. The Cinebash Opening Celebration on January 26 at The Wick Theatre will feature dinner followed by an exclusive film screening, while a curated Shorts Program on February 1 will showcase emerging Jewish filmmakers' work.
The main festival screenings will occur at three venues: Cinemark Palace 20 from February 21-28, Movies of Delray from March 1-15, and Paragon Theater Deerfield from March 18-22. This multi-venue approach increases accessibility and allows for broader community participation across different regions of South Florida.
Co-founder Lesley Rich highlighted the festival's cultural significance, noting, "As our festival grows, so does our commitment to presenting diverse voices and compelling stories that reflect the global Jewish experience. This year promises laughter, tears, and plenty of conversation-starters." The festival serves as an important platform for Jewish cultural expression and intercultural dialogue through cinema.
