Bodegas TV Launches NYC's First In-Store Video Network at Innovation Summit

Bodegas TV officially launched New York City's first in-store video network at the Bodega & Small Business Innovation Summit, an official event of #NYTechWeek 2026. The network, accessible at bodegas.tv, deploys smart screens inside bodegas to deliver hyper-local media, advertising, and AI-curated content directly to the point of purchase. The launch event took place on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Stuyvesant Yacht Club in the Bronx, co-hosted by the Bodega & Small Business Group (BSBG), Tech Ranch, and Angeles Investors.

The summit convened over 100 NYC bodega owners, startup founders, investors, and technologists to explore the 'Sovereign Bodega' framework—modernizing the corner store's digital infrastructure without displacing the cultural identity that makes bodegas essential to their communities. Panels covered four pillars of bodega modernization: Media Tech & AI, FinTech, Security, and Infrastructure. The network targets the Latino and urban communities that drive an estimated $45 billion in annual spending through NYC's corner store ecosystem.

Bodegas TV plans to expand to 500 bodegas by the end of 2026 and 2,000 within three years. Confirmed panelists included Andre Ureña, Co-Founder & Chairman of Centro AI; Milbert Kiggundu-Bentham, CEO of Alvix Advisory; Samira O., Founder of Building Experimental AI Products; Charlie Barnet, Co-Founder of World Mobile; Arabel Alva Rosales, President & CEO of AAR Tech; Jean Michael Lif, Co-Founder of RDÉ; Guillermo “Will” DeJesus, CFO of Negozee; Mohamed Toure, Data Scientist at Shopify; and Riya Goel, Investment Banker at Bank of America.

'Corner stores have always been more than a place to shop—they are community anchors and, for many families, the first face of entrepreneurship,' said Maria Probert of Bodegas TV. 'This collaboration brings together the operators, builders, and investors who understand that deeply. Bodegas TV exists to make sure technology serves the people who built these communities.'

The Bodega & Small Business Group, led by President Francisco Marte, represents thousands of NYC bodega owners. Tech Ranch, led by Kevin Koym, is an Austin-based startup accelerator, and Angeles Investors is a Latino-focused early-stage investment network.
