Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade Raises Over $700,000 at 17th Annual Gala to Support Youth Programs

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade hosted its 17th Annual Wild About Kids Gala with a GALAxia Night theme at the Loews Coral Gables Hotel on October 18, raising more than $700,000 to support youth development programs throughout Miami-Dade County. The funds will directly support the organization's mission to help children reach their full potential through academic support, creative arts, athletic activities, and character development programs. This substantial financial support enables the continuation of critical services including one-on-one mentoring, STEM education, tutoring, and various arts and sports programs that serve thousands of local youth annually.

More than 300 community supporters attended the black-tie event, including prominent philanthropists, business leaders, and community advocates who gathered to support the organization's youth development initiatives. The evening featured WSVN's Belkys Nerey and Lynn Martinez as emcees, along with performances by Latin soul artist Lucy Grau and a showcase by Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade Dance Stars, demonstrating the talent and confidence nurtured through the organization's programs. Attendees had multiple opportunities to contribute through youth member sponsorships and a curated silent auction featuring VIP experiences, exclusive travel packages, and fine jewelry.

Alex Rodriguez-Roig, president of Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade, expressed gratitude for the community support that made the event successful. The gala was chaired by Michelle Zubizarreta, with Olga Guilarte serving as Special Event Chair, and featured a host committee of influential civic leaders including Board Chair Rodolfo Lleonart and numerous other community supporters.
