Brown, Paindiris & Scott, LLP Welcomes Attorney Brian Lamaj to Bolster Commercial and Real Estate Practice

Brown, Paindiris & Scott, LLP (BPS Lawyers) has announced that Attorney Brian Lamaj has joined the firm as a member of its commercial and real estate law departments, based in its Glastonbury office. Lamaj will handle both transactional and litigation matters, representing individuals and small businesses in commercial and real estate disputes.

Before joining BPS Lawyers, Lamaj represented municipal entities and property owners in land use and municipal law matters, including appeals of planning and zoning commission and zoning board of appeals decisions, as well as zoning enforcement actions. This background continues to inform his transactional work, where issues like nonconforming use, variances, and pending applications often directly affect a property's marketability.

Lamaj graduated cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law, where he was recognized for Excellence in Clinical Education. During law school, he interned at the State of Connecticut Office of the Attorney General, representing the Connecticut Department of Labor in unemployment compensation appeals and bringing civil penalty actions against employers for wage violations.

Admitted to practice law in Connecticut, Lamaj currently serves as Membership Director of the Connecticut Bar Association Young Lawyers Section and is a member of the Hartford County Bar Association. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Connecticut.
