Burrow & Associates, LLC, a Georgia-based law firm, has unveiled the Road to Recovery Scholarship, a $1,000 award for one student enrolled in or accepted to an accredited U.S. undergraduate, graduate, or professional program. The scholarship aims to recognize students who have actively supported others through injury, illness, or personal hardship, and who intend to continue such service after graduation.

The application process requires a 1,000-word essay addressing three prompts about helping others, along with a current resume and an unofficial transcript. Applicants must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. The deadline for submissions is August 31, 2027, and the recipient will be announced on October 1, 2027. The scholarship is open to students in any field of study, including law, healthcare, education, and more.

According to founding attorney Darrell L. Burrow, the scholarship stems from the firm's firsthand experience with clients recovering from serious injuries. "After a serious injury, recovery depends on the people who step in to help, and we have seen firsthand how much that support matters for our own clients," Burrow said. "This scholarship is our way of recognizing students who have taken real action to help others recover and rebuild, and who plan to keep doing that work long after they graduate."

Eligible applicants include high school seniors, GED holders, community college students, and those in undergraduate, graduate, or professional programs. The scholarship is intentionally broad to encourage applications from diverse academic backgrounds. Applicants do not need to be pursuing a legal career; instead, they should demonstrate a genuine commitment to aiding others during difficult times.
