Cavitation Technologies Sells Patents to Desmet, Focuses on Water Treatment and Beverage Innovation

Cavitation Technologies, Inc. (CTi), a nano-technology systems developer, has announced a significant strategic shift, selling several patents to long-time partner Desmet Group, SA for approximately $1.5 million. This transaction allows CTi to focus on what it sees as its most promising growth areas: water treatment and remediation, and innovative beverage technologies.

The deal with Desmet involves the sale of patents related to vegetable oil refining, along with two trademark registrations. Importantly, CTi has retained exclusive rights to use these technologies in water and wastewater processing, as well as in the alcoholic beverage industry. This move provides CTi with much-needed capital while avoiding dilution of existing shareholders.

CTi's CEO emphasized the company's potential for growth, particularly in water treatment applications. The company has installed a system at a major water remediation company in Texas and is pursuing additional customers in the Permian Basin. CTi's technology offers several advantages, including chemical-free water remediation, quick integration into existing processes, and compact, energy-efficient systems.

In the agricultural sector, CTi has begun trials of its water remediation system at Hacienda Farms in Canada. The system aims to improve water quality for greenhouse operations by increasing oxygen levels, eliminating algae, and controlling bacterial growth without harsh chemicals. This application addresses significant challenges in agricultural water use and could have wide-ranging implications for sustainable farming practices.

CTi is also advancing its involvement in the beverage industry through its partnership with Alchemy Beverages, Inc. (ABI). The companies are developing Barmuze, a smart kitchen appliance, and exploring opportunities in alcohol brand creation. With the global spirits market projected to reach $631.92 billion by 2029, CTi and ABI are positioning themselves to capitalize on this growing market.

In addition to its existing technologies, CTi has developed HydroPlasma, a new water treatment process that combines cavitation and cold plasma technology. This innovation has potential applications across multiple industries and is currently undergoing further development through partnerships with academic institutions.

The strategic moves announced by CTi reflect the company's adaptation to challenging market conditions and its focus on high-potential areas.
