Centre for Neuro Skills Expands Brain Injury Treatment Capabilities in North Texas

The Centre for Neuro Skills (CNS) is set to expand its brain injury treatment services with a new clinic in Plano, slated to open in winter 2025-2026. The approximately 20,000 square foot facility represents the organization's fifth location in Texas and reflects a strategic response to increasing healthcare demands in the North Dallas area.

Brain injury presents a significant public health challenge, with 2.9 million Americans visiting emergency departments annually due to traumatic brain injuries. In Texas specifically, the statistics are particularly stark: 144,000 residents sustain a traumatic brain injury each year, with more than 381,000 living with related disabilities.

The new Plano clinic will offer comprehensive rehabilitation services, including advanced therapeutic interventions such as the ZeroG® Gait and Balance System and the Bioness Integrated Therapy System. These technologies enable sophisticated rehabilitation approaches for patients recovering from complex neurological conditions.

CNS CEO David Harrington emphasized the strategic importance of expanding services in the region, noting the area's rapid population growth and high demand for specialized post-acute care. The facility will provide individualized treatment programs covering vision rehabilitation, neurobehavior training, cognitive retraining, speech therapy, and physical and occupational therapy.

A distinguishing feature of CNS's approach is its commitment to holistic patient care, including individual and family counseling. The organization's recent accreditation by the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence underscores its dedication to maintaining high standards of treatment and patient support.

Located near the Dallas North Tollway and conveniently accessible to area airports and hotels, the new clinic will accommodate diverse patient needs, including inpatient, outpatient, day treatment, and residential post-acute brain injury rehabilitation services.
