Chef Nourish is providing free delivery of chef-prepared meals covering 15 special-diet categories to residents affected by the Garden Grove chemical incident and evacuation.

As Garden Grove and neighboring Orange County communities continue to manage disruption from a recent chemical incident and evacuations, Chef Nourish has launched a targeted meal support program for individuals with dietary restrictions that standard emergency food cannot accommodate. The Garden Grove Prepared Meal Support initiative offers ready-to-heat, chef-prepared meals covering 15 special-diet categories, including diabetic-conscious, gluten-free, low-sodium, heart-conscious, dairy-free, allergy-aware, senior-friendly, high-protein, macro-balanced, anti-inflammatory, vegetarian, culturally diverse, family-friendly, and responder performance meals.
Chef Nourish is waiving the delivery fee on prepared meal orders for affected households in Garden Grove and Orange County. Affected residents can call (323) 909-8933 and mention "Garden Grove Prepared Meal Support" to coordinate delivery. The company serves Los Angeles and Orange County, with the infrastructure to deliver thousands of meals weekly.
"Emergency food is not one-size-fits-all," said Chef LaLa, founder of Chef Nourish. "Being away from home does not pause diabetes, heart disease, kidney concerns, food allergies, celiac disease, autoimmune issues, pregnancy nutrition, sensory food needs, athletic training, cultural food traditions, religious food practices, or the way a family has learned to eat to stay healthy."
The program aims to fill a gap left by standard emergency food options, which often consist of sandwiches, pizza, snacks, or one-size-fits-all meals. Chef Nourish provides nutritionist-guided meals designed for hotel stays, temporary housing, senior care, and other displacement scenarios. The company is a woman-owned, veteran-owned, minority-owned small business with physician-led oversight.
Chef LaLa emphasized that stress and displacement can be particularly challenging for people with special dietary needs. "A senior with heart disease may need low-sodium meals. A person with diabetes may need balance and consistency. A child with sensory needs may only tolerate certain foods. A responder working long shifts needs real fuel," she said.
The company encourages residents to continue following official evacuation orders from the City of Garden Grove, Orange County, Orange County Fire Authority, and the American Red Cross. Community members, businesses, hotels, and organizations interested in sponsoring meals for affected families can also contact Chef Nourish directly.
Chef Nourish is based in Beverly Hills and operates as a prepared meal delivery service throughout Southern California. More information is available at ChefNourish.com.
