Circus Establishes Defence Subsidiary to Expand Autonomous AI Robotics Portfolio

Circus SE has established Circus Defence SE as a wholly owned subsidiary focused on expanding the company's product portfolio for autonomous AI robotics and infrastructure systems in the defence sector. The new entity will leverage Circus' patented AI robotics platform and modular system architecture to develop defense-specific applications for mission-critical environments. Building on the company's existing technologies and high-volume production capabilities, Circus Defence will expand beyond the CA-M autonomous troop supply system to create a comprehensive modular product family.

The strategic launch represents a significant expansion of Circus' defense offerings, with upcoming development areas including autonomous medical supply units, centralized infrastructures for counter drones, and autonomous logistics and equipment systems for troops. These systems are designed for rapid setup, fully autonomous operation, and minimal personnel requirements, building on the company's established expertise in AI control and robotics. The move follows Circus' recent expansion into Ukraine and planned start of series production in Europe, positioning the company to capitalize on growing demand for autonomous defense solutions.

Nikolas Bullwinkel, Founder and CEO of Circus and Circus Defence, emphasized the strategic importance of creating a specialized unit that leverages existing relationships within European defense and NATO structures. The company is currently establishing dedicated management and development teams to accelerate growth in this area, with all development and production remaining based in Europe. The participation of strategic investors in Circus Defence, as well as a potential future public listing, are currently under evaluation as the company seeks to strengthen its position in the defense technology market.

This expansion builds on Circus SE's established position as a global technology leader in dual-use AI robotics, with the company's flagship CA-1 robot representing the world's first fully autonomous food production robot now in serial production.
