The CLL Society has awarded three researchers for their innovative projects aimed at improving care and outcomes for patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia and small lymphocytic lymphoma.

The CLL Society has announced the recipients of its 2025 Research Program awards, recognizing three researchers for their contributions to advancing care for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL). The awards highlight innovative approaches in integrative medicine, clinical research, and young investigator projects, aiming to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
Dr. Nancy Musoke received the Integrative Medicine Award for her study on non-pharmacologic interventions, such as curcumin supplementation and physical activity, to enhance immune health and potentially slow disease progression in CLL/SLL patients. Dr. Matthew S. Davids was honored with the Clinical Scholar Award for his research on optimizing glofitamab combination therapy for Richter’s transformation, a severe progression of CLL. Dr. Quinlan Sievers was awarded the Young Investigator Award for his work on understanding resistance mechanisms to BTK inhibitors, a promising treatment for CLL/SLL.
These awards underscore the CLL Society's commitment to funding research that addresses critical gaps in CLL/SLL care, offering hope for more effective and personalized treatment options. For more information on the research funded by CLL Society, visit https://cllsociety.org/what-we-fund/.
