Code Ninjas Opens Queen Anne Location to Teach Children Coding Through Video Game Development

Code Ninjas has launched a new learning center in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood, offering children ages 5-14 an innovative approach to learning computer coding through video game development. The center, located at 513 1st Ave. West, #B, next to the Space Needle, serves the Queen Anne, Magnolia, South Lake Union, Downtown, Fremont, and surrounding communities with a curriculum that transforms coding education into an engaging, game-based experience.

Local entrepreneur Atul Goyal, along with his daughters Kaia and Kyra, owns and operates the new location. Goyal, who previously worked in telecom and cloud engineering, was motivated to enter educational entrepreneurship by his daughters' interests and the recognition of technology's growing importance. His eldest daughter Kaia serves as operations director while his younger daughter works as a Code Sensei, reflecting the family's commitment to STEM education.

The educational approach at Code Ninjas utilizes a martial arts-inspired belt system consisting of nine levels, where children progress from white to black belt while developing coding skills. The curriculum is self-paced but supported by Code Senseis and peer collaboration, ensuring students receive immediate assistance and encouragement. The program culminates with students publishing their own app in an app store, providing tangible evidence of their acquired skills.

This expansion addresses the critical need for early STEM education by making coding accessible and enjoyable for young learners.
