Comcast Expands High-Speed Internet Access to Franklin County, Idaho

In a significant move to enhance digital connectivity in rural Idaho, Comcast has unveiled plans for a major expansion of its fiber network across Franklin County. The project, set to be completed by early 2026, will bring high-speed internet access to thousands of homes and businesses in the cities of Preston and Franklin, as well as surrounding communities.

This expansion is made possible through a public-private partnership between Comcast and the State of Idaho, leveraging grant funding from the Idaho Capital Projects Fund Broadband Infrastructure Grant. Once the network is operational, residential customers will have access to Comcast Xfinity's full suite of products and services, including internet, video, mobile, voice, and managed home solutions. Local businesses will benefit from Comcast Business services, which offer a range of connectivity, communications, networking, cybersecurity, wireless, and managed solutions tailored to organizations of various sizes.
