Comprehensive UFO Production Archive Featuring 1947 Roswell Yearbook Scheduled for December 13 Auction

A substantial private collection documenting decades of UFO and UAP research will be available through an online auction on Saturday, December 13, 2025. Direct Auctions will present the professional archive of Chris Wyatt, an Emmy Award-winning television producer whose work includes UFOs Above & Beyond, Close Encounters: Proof of Alien Contact, UFOs: The Real X-Files, and UFOs: Top Secret. The collection represents a turnkey production resource for television companies, streaming platforms, and documentary filmmakers, with full broadcast rights included. According to Direct Auctions owner, Jeff Schwarz, the industry response has been significant. "In my 40 years of liquidating assets, from major movie sets to multi-million-dollar estates, I have never seen a response like this," says Jeff Schwarz, owner of Direct Auctions and star of the hit TV series The Liquidator, "The phone is ringing off the hook from film production companies and UFO collectors globally. This is, without a doubt, the number one auction in terms of immediate interest I have ever handled."

Assembled between 1992 and 2004 during what many consider the modern era of UFO investigation, the archive provides comprehensive production materials. The winning bidder will acquire 39 hours of broadcast-quality master tapes featuring never-aired interviews with prominent figures in UFO research, including the second interview ever filmed with Bob Lazar discussing Area 51 and the S-4 facility. The intellectual property assets include an original, unpublished feature film script about the life of Bob Lazar and full broadcast and licensing rights to all footage, enabling production of multiple documentaries without third-party licensing requirements. The visual archives contain over 150 original photographs from the private collection of Lt. Col. Wendelle Stevens, a respected UFO researcher, with many images previously unpublished, providing exclusive visual content, plus an extensive B-roll archive suitable for historical documentaries.

The research documents include more than 500 declassified government documents, including materials related to CIA projects, Project Aquarius, and Majestic 12, along with hundreds of vintage books and rare periodicals including Fate Magazine, Flying Saucers, and UFO Report, serving as period-correct reference materials for historical context. The centerpiece artifact is the 1947 Roswell Army Air Force Base Yearbook, considered extraordinarily rare within UFO research circles. This yearbook is understood to be one of the only copies not held by government institutions. According to the collection's history, original versions were reportedly confiscated following the 1947 incident. This copy was acquired by Wyatt in 1996 from Roswell Air Force Base through a base officer who had preserved it. The yearbook provides personnel records that could enable researchers to locate witnesses, offering investigative angles for documentary projects.

The archive includes extensive interviews with key figures in UFO and paranormal research, including Bob Lazar, Gordon Cooper, Stanton Friedman, Linda Moulton Howe, Budd Hopkins, Dr. David Jacobs, and many others such as Stephen Bassett of the Disclosure Project, John Greenewald Jr. of The Black Vault, and Richard Hoagland. Chris Wyatt, reflecting on the collection, stated: "This library isn't just footage; it's the raw DNA of the modern UFO phenomenon. I captured these interviews before the internet diluted the narrative. For a production company, this is a time machine—you're getting the unvarnished truth from the people who lived it, on broadcast-quality masters, many never been seen. It is time for this collection to go to the next generation of paranormal TV producers." Industry analysts suggest the archive contains sufficient primary source material to produce five to six feature-length documentaries or a limited series, all without requiring expensive third-party licensing fees. The auction will be conducted globally online via iCollector, with registration and catalog access available at https://www.icollector.com/auction.aspx?as=111116.
