Critical Infrastructure Technologies and Babcock International Expand Defense Collaboration to Europe and Southeast Asia

Critical Infrastructure Technologies Ltd. has entered into an increased scope Memorandum of Understanding with Babcock International Group to co-develop and build a rapidly deployable platform integrating 5G communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, and counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems capabilities. The expanded agreement now covers all of Europe and Southeast Asia, significantly broadening the original focus which was exclusively on supplying 50 of CiTech's Nexus 20 platforms to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence. The original MOU was signed at the Defence and Security Equipment International expo in London in September 2025.

The expansion reflects the significant opportunities that exist for the Nexus 20 platform across these new regions. According to Brenton Scott, CEO of CiTech, the company is looking forward to 2026 with confidence as their first Nexus 20 platform is due to arrive in the EU in April 2026 for whole of region demonstrations. The collaboration represents a strategic partnership between a leading developer of autonomous, high-capacity mobile communications platforms and a major international defence company operating across multiple global markets.

The Nexus 20 platform addresses critical limitations in current rapidly deployable communication solutions through its self-deploying platform technology, which provides enhanced tower strength and rapid deployment capabilities. The platform is designed to support various technological payloads including LTE equipment, surveillance systems, and anti-drone technologies. This expansion comes as CiTech continues commercializing its first products following completion of the research and development phase.

The broader regional scope positions both companies to address growing defense and security needs across Europe and Southeast Asia, where rapidly deployable communications and surveillance capabilities are increasingly important. The partnership leverages Babcock's international defense expertise and CiTech's specialized technology development capabilities. The companies' collaboration now extends beyond the original Ukrainian defense requirements to encompass broader regional security challenges and opportunities.
