Critical Metals Corp has signed a letter of intent to supply Ucore Rare Metals Inc with up to 10,000 metric tons annually of rare earth concentrate from its Tanbreez Project, strengthening North American supply chains and reducing dependence on China for critical minerals essential for defense and clean energy technologies.

Critical Metals Corp (Nasdaq: CRML) has signed a letter of intent for a multi-year offtake agreement with Ucore Rare Metals Inc, a leader in rare-and critical-metal resources, extraction, beneficiation, and separation technologies. Under the arrangement, Critical Metals Corp expects to supply up to 10,000 metric tons annually of rare earth concentrate from its Tanbreez Project, representing approximately 10% of the project's initial projected production.
The concentrate will serve as feedstock for Ucore's rare earth element processing facilities, including the facility in Alexandria, Louisiana that broke ground in May and received support from the state government and the U.S. Department of Defense. The Louisiana facility will produce high-purity rare earth oxides from mixed rare earth carbonates or oxides that Critical Metals Corp expects to produce at Tanbreez. Pat Ryan, Chairman and CEO of Ucore, stated that Tanbreez offers tremendous opportunities given the significant concentration of heavy rare earths essential for their processing facility, adding that both companies share a vision to lessen China's grip of the rare earth ecosystem in the West.
Tony Sage, CEO and Executive Chairman of Critical Metals Corp, emphasized that this development validates the opportunities ahead for the company and the strength of their world-class asset in Southern Greenland. The offtake agreement provides Critical Metals Corp with its first buyer while maintaining flexibility to supply other US-based rare earth facilities in the future, given the immense size of the Tanbreez deposit. The partnership supports the development of a robust supply chain in America that isn't reliant on China, addressing national security challenges while meeting growing demand for rare earths essential for defense applications, the clean energy transition, and next-generation technologies.
The parties are working toward definitive documentation, with execution of definitive agreements subject to customary conditions including completion of due diligence, finalization of commercial terms, and necessary approvals.
