Crystal Lundberg introduces the Build Forward Pledge, a free initiative encouraging small daily actions for personal and professional development, backed by research on stress, engagement, and lifelong learning.

Crystal Lundberg has announced the launch of the Build Forward Pledge, a personal commitment designed to help individuals take ownership of their growth through small, consistent actions rather than waiting for the perfect moment to change. The pledge is rooted in Lundberg's own journey of overcoming childhood adversity, pursuing higher education, and building a career in business management and marketing.
'I define success as growth, resilience, and the ability to create a meaningful life despite adversity,' Lundberg said. 'Success is not only measured by accomplishments, financial stability, or career advancement, but by the person you become throughout the journey.' The pledge reflects her philosophy that lasting progress comes from persistence rather than perfection, and that growth often happens during uncomfortable seasons.
According to a Gallup report, low employee engagement costs the global economy $8.9 trillion annually, about 9% of global GDP. Meanwhile, the American Psychological Association reports that 77% of adults say stress affects their physical health, and 73% say it affects mental health. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics consistently shows that higher education correlates with lower unemployment and higher earnings, and LinkedIn's Workplace Learning Report finds that learning opportunities are among top factors for employee retention.
Lundberg has committed to seven specific behaviors: spending at least 20 minutes daily learning something new; breaking major goals into weekly action steps; choosing consistency over perfection; encouraging at least one person weekly; reflecting on progress weekly; continuing education; and remembering that the past does not define the future. She provides a free toolkit with actionable steps, including writing down a long-term goal, breaking it into five steps, creating a daily checklist, reading 10 pages daily, learning a new skill online, organizing a space, writing three accomplishments each evening, and reaching out to encouragers.
A 30-day progress tracker guides participants through weekly tasks, from writing a goal and taking daily actions to reviewing habits and celebrating effort. Lundberg emphasizes that personal growth becomes meaningful when shared. 'My biggest motivation has always been the desire to create a life that is peaceful, successful, stable, and meaningful—not only for myself but for the people I care about,' she said.
