Donna Voss Showcases 'Gone Surfing!' at 2026 LA Times Festival of Books, Highlighting Creativity and Exploration

At the 2026 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, held April 18–19 on the University of Southern California campus, VIP Author Donna Voss featured her book Gone Surfing! in a book signing and author interview at the MainSpring Books booth. The festival, one of the nation's largest literary events, attracted thousands of readers, families, educators, and authors for a weekend dedicated to storytelling.

Gone Surfing! takes readers on a journey through iconic surfing locations around the world. The book originated from a series of watercolor paintings inspired by ocean waves, evolving into a narrative about exploration, curiosity, and cultural discovery. Voss explained during her interview that painting served as both a therapeutic and imaginative process, allowing the story to develop naturally.
