Dr. Bahman Guyuron Honored with AAPS Honorary Award for Decades of Innovation in Plastic Surgery

Dr. Bahman Guyuron, a renowned plastic surgeon based in Cleveland, Ohio, has been awarded the Honorary Award by the American Association of Plastic Surgeons (AAPS), the highest distinction from the oldest plastic surgery organization founded in 1921. This honor recognizes his significant advancements in the science, research, and humanitarian aspects of medicine. In addition, he was named Clinician of the Year in 2025 by the AAPS.

With over 300 peer-reviewed publications, six textbooks, and more than 1,200 lectures delivered across 30 countries, Dr. Guyuron's work has shaped modern plastic surgery. He is globally recognized for his surgical treatment for migraine headaches, which has provided relief to thousands of patients. His innovations in facial plastic surgery, particularly rhinoplasty, have earned him a reputation as a leader in the field.

Dr. Guyuron's accolades also include being named to America's Best Plastic Surgeons 2025 by Newsweek and Statista in multiple categories such as rhinoplasty, facelift, and eyelid surgery. He was recognized as one of Cleveland's Best Doctors 2025 by Cleveland Magazine and received the Global Contributions award from the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Reuters named him among the top five rhinoplasty surgeons worldwide, and a peer vote placed him among the top two plastic surgeons for rhinoplasty.
