Eduard Beltran Elected Full Member of Sigma Xi, Recognizing Research in Strategic Influence and Negotiation

International Business Trainings LLP has announced that Eduard Beltran, an expert in negotiation, leadership, and strategic influence, has been elected a Full Member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society, through its New York University Chapter. The election, which followed a review by Sigma Xi’s Committee on Qualifications and Membership, acknowledges Beltran’s combined achievements in research, international practice, and university teaching.

Sigma Xi, founded at Cornell University in 1886, is one of the oldest and most prestigious scientific honor societies, dedicated to recognizing excellence in scientific research and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. Full Membership is conferred upon individuals who have demonstrated noteworthy achievement as original investigators in pure or applied science. Beltran’s induction into this historic society highlights the relevance of his work in negotiation, strategic influence, leadership, trust, and conflict management, which bridges academic research with the analysis of complex decision-making processes in organizations and institutions.

Beltran’s academic background includes studies in law and political science and an LL.M. from New York University School of Law. He has taught and delivered executive education in international academic settings, including ESSEC Business School, Sciences Po Paris, and Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and has worked with executives and organizations across multiple countries. Currently, he is completing doctoral research in communication, focusing on the dynamics of strategic influence, mobilization, reputational pressure, negotiation, and institutional change. His research examines 29 campaigns conducted by Greenpeace Argentina between 2000 and 2021 and develops an analytical model for understanding how influence strategies can contribute to verified institutional outcomes.
