Global Turbine Asia Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian engine maintenance, repair and overhaul provider, has entered into strategic partnerships through two Memorandum of Understanding agreements and one Note of Understanding. The agreements with Airbus Defence and Space, Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia, and Perbadanan Hal Ehwal Bekas Angkatan Tentera represent a coordinated effort to strengthen Malaysia's aerospace and defense ecosystem through commercial cooperation, talent development, and long-term capability building.

Through its agreement with Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia, GTA seeks to strengthen industry-academia collaboration in research, innovation, and talent development. Potential areas of cooperation include joint research and development projects, training and postgraduate pathways, technical advisory services, workshops, and centers of expertise. This partnership may also explore industry-on-campus initiatives, subject to approvals and separate agreements where required. The Note of Understanding with PERHEBAT supports the career transition of retiring Malaysian Armed Forces personnel and veterans by providing industrial training, workplace exposure, and potential employment opportunities. This collaboration includes job-skills alignment, program monitoring, and joint initiatives aimed at enhancing the employability and well-being of Veteran Angkatan Tentera Malaysia. The veteran support program recognizes the valuable technical skills and discipline that military personnel bring to the aerospace industry while addressing social responsibility toward those who have served in national defense.
