Golden Cariboo Discovers Promising Gold Mineralization in British Columbia Drilling Operation

Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. has reported a significant geological finding during its ongoing drilling operations at the Halo zone, located near Hixon, British Columbia. The drill hole QGQ24-21 revealed a promising mineralized zone with multiple occurrences of visible gold, despite being terminated prematurely due to technical drilling constraints.

The drilling operation encountered 53 meters of continuous, strongly altered greenstones featuring an intense stockwork of quartz-carbonate veins. Notably, visible gold was discovered just 1.8 meters from the hole's termination point, suggesting substantial mineralization potential in the area.

After drilling through 257 meters of hanging wall rocks, the exploration team encountered a zone rich with sericite and iron carbonate alterations. The drill core has been fully logged and is currently being prepared for comprehensive gold and multi-element assays at ALS Canada Ltd.

The discovery is particularly significant for the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property, which sits along a historically productive gold corridor. The region has a rich mining history, with over 101 placer gold creeks recorded in the 90-kilometer trend, and ongoing small-scale placer mining activities.

The company's next drilling strategy involves moving forward along the trace of the current drill hole to intersect the mineralized zone at an up-dip and northern location. This approach indicates a methodical and strategic exploration method aimed at fully understanding the gold deposit's potential.
