Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. announced the completion of drill hole QGQ25-28 on March 19, 2026, reaching a total length of 754.69 meters and ending in mineralization approximately 12 meters from Osisko Development Corp.'s claim boundary. The drilling occurred at the company's Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property, located northeast of Hixon and southeast of Prince George, British Columbia. This drill hole extends approximately 283 meters beyond the previous hole QGQ25-25, which also ended in mineralization, with visual observations showing veining, silicification, and disseminated pyrite mineralization in the final core boxes. Assay results are pending, and maps and pictures are available at https://goldencariboo.com/news/.

In addition to the drilling results, the company has applied to register an additional 1,283.59 hectares within and adjacent to its existing 94,899-hectare land package. Frank Callaghan, President and CEO of Golden Cariboo Resources, stated that QGQ25-28 appears to be a strong step-out hole that continued to encounter similar alteration and mineralization as previous drilling, ending in mineralization near the Osisko Development claim boundary. He emphasized that the extension beyond QGQ25-25 while still finishing in mineralization supports the potential for a robust system, with the company now awaiting assays to test the extent and continuity of the mineralization. The land expansion aims to bolster the company's holdings for future work on regional targets and testing of the northern portions of the Spanish and Eureka thrust faults.

The technical information in the announcement was reviewed and approved by Jean Pautler, an independent consultant and Qualified Person under NI 43-101 standards, registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. This development is significant as it suggests ongoing mineralization in the area, potentially enhancing the economic viability of the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property. The property's geological setting shows similarities to the Spanish Mountain gold deposit, which is part of a trend that includes major global deposits, indicating promising exploration prospects. The combination of extended mineralization and expanded land claims positions Golden Cariboo for further exploration and potential resource development in a historically productive gold region.
