Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. has commenced its 2026 mineral exploration program at the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property in British Columbia, marking a significant expansion of drilling and geological studies following promising gold discoveries from previous seasons.

Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. has initiated field activities for its 2026 exploration program at the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property in British Columbia. The program builds on technical successes from previous seasons, with crews currently opening access roads and preparing infrastructure for drilling operations. Initial drilling will continue within hole QGQ25-28, which has reached 354.19 meters depth and represents the northernmost drill string in the Halo zone.
The company is implementing a 7,500-meter surface diamond drilling program targeting priority zones identified through geological mapping and structural interpretation. This follows significant results from hole QGQ24-20, which returned 137.17 meters of 1.55 g/t gold and 16.05 g/t silver, including higher-grade intervals of 4.29 meters at 16.43 g/t gold and 9.09 g/t silver. These gold assays were conducted using PhotonAssay™ technology, as detailed in the company's August 12, 2025 news release available at https://www.newmediawire.com.
In preparation for deeper targets, Golden Cariboo is transitioning from NQ to HQ-sized core drilling to improve recovery and obtain enhanced geological information from key mineralized zones. Additional exploration activities will include over one kilometer of trenching, comprehensive mapping, prospecting, geochemical sampling, and both ground and airborne geophysical studies. The company continues to refine its geological models throughout these operations.
Frank Callaghan, President and CEO of Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd., stated that the team is energized as drilling advances north of the Halo zone from QGQ25-28. He emphasized that the 2026 program represents their most comprehensive exploration effort to date, with the core size transition expected to provide detailed insights into structural and mineralized zones driving project excitement. The technical information has been reviewed and approved by independent consultant Jean Pautler, a Qualified Person under NI 43-101 standards.
The exploration program's importance lies in its systematic approach to building upon previous discoveries in a historically productive region. The Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property shows geological similarities to significant deposits along the same trend, including the Spanish Mountain gold deposit located 120 kilometers southeast. As the company expands its understanding of the property's mineralization controls through advanced drilling and multiple exploration methods, the 2026 program could substantially advance the project's development potential in British Columbia's established mining jurisdiction.
