Golden Cariboo Resources Advances Gold Analysis with Innovative PhotonAssay Technology

Golden Cariboo Resources is pioneering a novel approach to gold analysis through an innovative PhotonAssay™ orientation study that could transform mineral exploration methodologies. The company will collaborate with ALS Canada Ltd. to evaluate this non-destructive technology at its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property in central British Columbia.

The PhotonAssay method represents a significant technological advancement in geological sampling. Unlike traditional fire assay techniques that analyze 30-50 grams of material, this approach can examine up to 500 grams of sample using high-energy X-rays. This expanded sample size addresses a persistent challenge in gold exploration known as the 'nugget effect', where gold distribution can be inconsistent and difficult to accurately measure.

By utilizing high-energy photons that interact with gold atoms and generate characteristic gamma emissions, the technique promises more representative and precise gold quantification. The method is particularly promising for the company's Halo zone target, where coarse, visible gold has been encountered in recent drill holes.

The orientation study will initially compare PhotonAssay results with traditional fire assay methods using existing core samples. If successful, the technology could potentially replace conventional assaying across all future sample analyses at the Quesnelle property, providing geologists with more comprehensive and reliable data.
