HITN’s Brooklyn Navy Yard rooftop served as a premier international broadcast hub, delivering FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage to 90 million viewers across Sub-Saharan Africa through a partnership with New World TV and PGS Group.

As the FIFA World Cup 2026 enters its final phase, HITN MEDIA has successfully transformed its iconic Brooklyn Navy Yard rooftop into the New York broadcast headquarters for New World TV's summer soccer coverage. The project, managed by PGS Group of France, has turned HITN's waterfront studios into a world-class international broadcast center delivering coverage to more than 90 million viewers across Sub-Saharan Africa.
After evaluating multiple New York City locations, New World TV, a Pan-African broadcaster, selected HITN's 23,000-square-foot rooftop terrace for its unparalleled Manhattan skyline views and technical infrastructure. Over the past several weeks, approximately 40 international broadcast professionals have operated from Brooklyn, producing live programming from infrastructure that houses presentation studios, production offices, and a technical operation hub, supported by HITN Media's state-of-the-art facilities providing connectivity, power distribution, technical production services, and transmission support.
Project management for HITN Media has been led by Juan Pablo Santos of Wood Creek Road Productions, coordinating the operational, production, vendor, and partner needs. “As the tournament reaches its conclusion, this project has demonstrated the extraordinary capabilities of HITN Media’s Brooklyn studios as a premier destination for international media production,” said Michael D. Nieves, President and CEO of HITN. “Our facilities combine a distinctive New York setting with the technology, connectivity, and operational expertise required by global broadcasters.”
The rooftop facility offers expansive outdoor production space, unobstructed skyline views, high-capacity fiber connectivity, technical support areas, offices, makeup and green rooms, secure access, and proximity to Manhattan. “New York City is one of the world’s great stages, and for a tournament of this magnitude we wanted a location that reflected the energy, ambition, and global reach of our coverage,” said Aboubakar Coulibaly, CEO of New World Televisions Group. “HITN Media’s rooftop provided the ideal combination of visual impact and broadcast capabilities.”
“This project demonstrates what can be achieved when world-class facilities are combined with international broadcast expertise,” said Michaël Viviani, CEO of PGS Group. “Together with HITN Media and New World Sport, PGS designed, integrated, and delivered a complete international broadcast hub within just a few weeks.” PGS has delivered broadcast and media services worldwide, but few locations offer the combination of iconic visuals and operational readiness found at HITN Media’s Brooklyn campus.
The successful execution of this international broadcast reinforces HITN Media’s Brooklyn Navy Yard campus as one of New York City’s premier destinations for live television, major sporting events, and large-scale international productions. The World Cup project showcases the campus’ ability to host complex global broadcasts on an accelerated timeline while serving audiences across multiple continents.
