HKTDC August Events to Spotlight Wellness and Global Trade Opportunities

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is set to host five major exhibitions from August 13 to 17 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, bringing together over 1,850 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions. Under the theme “Live Well.Stay Well,” the events will focus on wellness, quality living, and holistic wellbeing, reflecting growing market trends.

This year marks the first time all ASEAN member states are represented, with debut participations from Brunei and Timor-Leste, as well as first-time exhibitors from Colombia and Greece. The Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has organized delegations from multiple provinces to showcase premium agricultural products, leveraging Hong Kong as a gateway to global markets.

Food Expo PRO will introduce a new “Meat Zone” and an expanded “Coffee Zone,” featuring exhibitors from Yunnan, Colombia, Macao, Myanmar, Thailand, and the United States. The “Food Science and Technology Zone” will showcase alternative foods and intelligent food-service robots, addressing the growing wellness market. For the first time, pet food products will be featured, and the halal food label will be present for the third consecutive year with over 130 exhibitors.

The Hong Kong International Tea Fair will highlight rare teas, including a purple bud pu'er from Yunnan and premium teas from Laos, Kenya, and Sri Lanka. New pavilions include a Chinese Mainland Matcha Pavilion and a Yixing Zisha Teaware Pavilion. The “Tea Lifestyle” zone will introduce innovative tea-based products, and the Hong Kong International Tea Culture Forum will discuss internationalization of Chinese tea brands.

The five themed days—”Happy Eat Happy Life,” “The World in Blink,” “Coffee or Tea,” “Stay Fresh, Stay Ahead,” and “Let’s Chill”—will offer diverse experiences, from celebrity chef demonstrations to wellness seminars and horticultural therapy workshops.

The Beauty & Wellness Expo will debut the “Stay Relax” zone with red-light therapy capsules and medicated balms, alongside the popular “Scentsation” zone featuring the Xuelei Fragrance Museum’s interactive scent experience. The Home Delights Expo will focus on quality sleep and smart living, with the Sleep Health Association launching “Go Sleep Exp” and HKT showcasing super broadband services.

The International Conference on Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products has expanded to three days, featuring over 30 speakers from multiple countries. Public education displays on Chinese medicine will also be featured at the Food Expo.

To celebrate HKTDC’s 60th anniversary, special promotions include free admission for the first 600 visitors daily with designated leaflets, “6”-themed offers, and lucky draws with prizes worth over HK$1 million. E-tickets are available through various platforms, and admission can be purchased on-site via mobile payment.

These events underscore Hong Kong’s position as an international trading hub, offering a one-stop platform for sourcing, networking, and retail experiences. For more details, visit the respective expo websites or the August Happy Buy campaign site.
