The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has rolled out a series of community activities, including a themed tram and a Design Gallery offering discounts, to mark its 60th anniversary and highlight its role in connecting Hong Kong globally.

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a series of community-wide activities, including a themed tram, a Design Gallery promotion, and forums. The initiatives aim to engage the public and underscore HKTDC's role in linking Hong Kong with global markets.
Professor Frederick Ma, HKTDC Chairman, and Sophia Chong, HKTDC Executive Director, along with senior management, attended a photo session for the 60th anniversary-themed tram. The limited-edition tram, featuring the anniversary theme “Connect the World, Shape the Future,” is now operating across Hong Kong Island, bringing the celebratory spirit to the community and symbolizing HKTDC's continued mission.
Among the celebratory initiatives, the “Design Gallery: 60 Celebratory Deals” campaign is offering more than 20 selected items at 40% off, with the third round of promotions launching in July. The discounts cover categories such as gifts, homeware, and fashion accessories. Featured items include a CARDHODA RFID coin and card holder, a DITTO DITTO Hong Kong Skyline pattern washi tape set, a FAUX X MARIKO JESSE Hong Kong Toile Bone China Mug, PAIR PAIR FULL "Weaving the Future" socks, and a TACS stainless steel watch. These offers allow the public to purchase creative products at attractive prices while experiencing Hong Kong's design excellence.
Other anniversary activities will be rolled out progressively, including “60 Book Fair Super Passes” during the Hong Kong Book Fair and “Food Expo VIP Tickets Giveaway.” These initiatives aim to celebrate HKTDC's milestone with the wider community. Details will be announced on HKTDC's social media platforms. More information about the anniversary activities can be found on the HKTDC 60th anniversary celebration activities page and the Design Gallery online shop.
