Hong Kong's Spring Technology Fairs to Showcase Innovation with Over 3,700 Exhibitors

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will stage four flagship technology fairs this April, bringing together over 3,700 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. InnoEX and the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) will be held concurrently from 13 to 16 April, while the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition) and Smart Lighting Expo will take place from 20 to 23 April. These events showcase Hong Kong's strengths as an international exhibition hub and align with national development plans and local innovation policies.

Jenny Koo, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, emphasized that these fairs support Hong Kong's development into an international innovation and technology hub by showcasing AI-driven frontier technologies and market-ready applications. The events foster business networking and cross-sector collaboration while leveraging Hong Kong's unique advantage as a platform for international engagement. This year's InnoEX, themed "Innovate - Automate - Elevate," covers five key areas including AI+, Robotics, and the Low-altitude Economy, with a major highlight being the debut of "RoboPark" across both InnoEX and the Electronics Fair.

RoboPark brings together technology companies from Hong Kong, Chinese Mainland and overseas, showcasing more than 100 robots across commercial, industrial, health, living, entertainment and social applications. The zone features four of the world's top five best-selling humanoid robot manufacturers from 2025, including AgiBot, EngineAI, UBTECH and Unitree, along with companies from "Hangzhou's Six Little Dragons" and "Shenzhen's Eight Great Guardians of Embodied Intelligence." Over the four-day exhibition period, approximately 40 events will be held at RoboPark, including technology demonstrations and networking platforms to help enterprises expand into overseas markets.

InnoEX further expands its global reach with exhibitors from 21 countries and regions, while the Chinese mainland reinforces its presence with 17 provinces and cities forming 18 pavilions. Leading Chinese Mainland technology giants including Huawei International, China Mobile Hong Kong, iFLYTEK, Tencent Cloud International and Lenovo (Hong Kong) will participate. The Digital Policy Office of the HKSAR Government will set up a large-scale "Smart Hong Kong Pavilion" themed "AI+ Hong Kong," showcasing over 100 innovation and technology solutions from government departments and public organizations across eight exhibit areas focusing on AI applications in public services, medical innovations, everyday experience, robotics, mobility, safety, infrastructure and the low-altitude economy.

InnoEX will co-organize the "Low-Altitude Economy Conference" with the Working Group on Developing the Low-Altitude Economy, bringing together industry experts to analyze policy trends and market potential. A dedicated Low-Altitude Economy Zone will showcase applications of low-altitude technologies with participating companies including Transcendence, Harmony SkyTech and Damoda. All research and development centres established by the Hong Kong SAR Government will participate in InnoEX, including the newly merged Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute and Nano and Advanced Materials Institute, along with Cyberport, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park bringing more than 40 start-ups to exhibit.

The Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) will focus on AI-driven electronic products across smart home solutions, health technology and gadgets, and pet intelligence, with around 50 new products making their debut. The "Startup Zone" brings together over 60 start-ups, while an "Immersive Experience Zone" will present interactive experiences using VR, AR and XR technologies. InnoEX and the Electronics Fair will jointly host more than 100 events featuring insights from industry experts including representatives from Deloitte and Google, along with overseas government representatives such as the Vice-minister of AI and Digital Development of Kazakhstan.

The Smart Lighting Expo and Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Spring Edition), themed "Go Smart - Live Green," bring together approximately 900 exhibitors with new participants from the Netherlands and Vietnam. These fairs gather numerous renowned brands and industry leaders including Foshan Electrical and Lighting, OPPLE Lighting, Shanghai Sansi and Absen. This year's fairs receive strong support from Zhongshan City as the Special Partner City, with the inaugural Zhongshan Guzhen Pavilion and Zhongshan Henglan Pavilion making their debut at the Smart Lighting Expo. A brand-new "Light Lab" will present smart lighting products through scenario-based design and immersive displays, while the Smart Lighting Expo introduces a new "Smart Commercial Display and Stage Audio-visual Zone."

The Business of Innovation and Technology Week, driven by the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau and the HKTDC, features a series of major innovation and technology events including the 3rd Hong Kong World Youth Science Conference, the Hong Kong Web3 Festival 2026, and the International Academicians Hong Kong Forum. During the exhibition period, the World Internet Conference Asia-Pacific Summit will take place concurrently from 13 to 14 April, focusing on innovation and technology in the Asia-Pacific region and promoting global digital innovation and technological exchange. These events collectively strengthen Hong Kong's position as a regional digital hub and international innovation and technology centre.
