A Hong Kong delegation of 21 tech companies will showcase innovations at Mobile World Congress 2026 and debut at 4YFN, highlighting the region's growing role in global connectivity and digital transformation.

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) are leading a delegation of 21 Hong Kong tech companies and institutions to Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, marking their debut at the startup-focused 4 Years From Now (4YFN) event. This dual presence aims to present a comprehensive view of Hong Kong's innovation and technology capabilities to global telecom leaders, enterprise decision-makers, and investors, building on momentum from MWC 2025 with solutions spanning connectivity, devices and systems, digital transformation, and ecosystem partnerships.
Iris Wong, Director of Merchandise Trade and Innovation and Director of External Relations at HKTDC, stated that the Hong Kong Tech Pavilion serves as an ideal platform for local enterprises to present their latest research and development achievements at major international gatherings while supporting their overseas market exploration. Derek Chim, Head of Startup Ecosystem and Development at HKSTP, emphasized MWC's role as a global bellwether for communications technology, providing companies with opportunities to validate solutions, catalyze pilot projects, and accelerate commercialization.
The delegation will feature a series of dialogues, networking receptions, themed talks, and pitching sessions to facilitate partnerships and investment opportunities for market-ready solutions. Notable examples include Shannon & Turing (Asmote), specializing in mmWave technology for Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) with applications in drone communications and industrial scenarios like smart ports, and Cresento, developing AI-powered shin guards for real-time sports performance analytics that are moving from prototypes to pilot collaborations with European football clubs.
HKTDC and HKSTP continue to collaborate through the Hong Kong Tech Pavilion to support tech enterprises in going global, accelerating internationalization to meet growing global demand for innovation and technology. This initiative aims to attract talent, facilitate investments, and consolidate Hong Kong's position as an international innovation hub.
