Huawei Cloud Unveils Comprehensive Enterprise AI Suite to Power the Agentic Era

Huawei Cloud has announced a sweeping expansion of its enterprise AI portfolio, aiming to establish what it calls an "open agentic cloud" to support the next wave of AI-driven business transformation. The announcements were made during HUAWEI CONNECT 2026, where Dr. Peter Zhou, Director of the Board at Huawei and CEO of Huawei Cloud, delivered a keynote emphasizing the shift toward agentic AI—systems that can autonomously execute complex tasks.

The centerpiece of the launch is the latest AI Cluster Service (AICS), a globally available infrastructure solution designed to provide a robust foundation for agentic AI. According to Huawei Cloud, the new AICS features a five-level fast recovery mechanism and full-chain observability, enabling over 40 days of stable training on the cloud and fault recovery within 10 minutes. It delivers 20% higher token throughput than the previous generation, a critical metric for AI efficiency. The service will be commercially available in China on September 30 and in international markets on November 30.

Complementing the infrastructure is the Context Memory Storage (CMS) solution, which addresses the memory demands of long-horizon agent tasks. CMS offers petabyte-scale memory space—twice the storage capacity of comparable products—and supports high-speed terabyte-scale reads with 50% higher performance than industry peers. These innovations underscore Huawei Cloud's strategy to make every token more efficient and ensure agents run securely in production environments.

On the platform side, Huawei Cloud is advancing its Agentic Model as a Service (MaaS) platform, which aggregates diverse models from leading providers, allowing developers to invoke state-of-the-art models with a single click and no deployment. At the event, MiniMax demonstrated its advanced multimodal model integrated with Huawei Cloud, showcasing open, cutting-edge capabilities. The AgentArts enterprise-grade agent platform, along with its open-source edition openJiuwen, has already served over 100 customers, including the Shenzhen Longgang District Government, China Southern Power Grid, and Kingsoft Office. AgentArts will be commercially available outside China on December 30.

Huawei Cloud also highlighted the expansion of its Industry AI Foundry, which now includes over 1,000 industry assets and more than 1,000 deployed projects. Two new zones—Smart Government and AI Hardware—were introduced, aiming to drive agents toward large-scale adoption. The Smart Government Zone has 24 founding partners, while the AI Hardware Zone includes 15 core partners covering over 20 device types, such as AI glasses and AI toys.

These developments matter because they signal a significant push toward making AI agents practical and scalable for enterprises. By providing open infrastructure, platforms, and industry ecosystems, Huawei Cloud is positioning itself as a key enabler of the agentic era, where AI systems can autonomously handle complex workflows. The move could accelerate AI adoption across sectors, from government to manufacturing, and foster a thriving partner ecosystem.
