The concurrent InnoEX and Hong Kong Electronics Fair attracted over 88,000 international buyers, highlighting Hong Kong's strategic position in connecting global innovation markets with a focus on AI+ and robotics technologies.

The concurrent InnoEX and Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition) concluded with significant international participation, attracting over 88,000 buyers from 155 countries and regions. Jenny Koo, Deputy Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), emphasized that these exhibitions leverage Hong Kong's unique advantage of connecting the Chinese Mainland and the world, providing a crucial platform for global innovation and technology exchange. The events align with China's 15th Five-Year Plan and Hong Kong's innovation policies, focusing on cutting-edge technologies driven by artificial intelligence.
The newly launched RoboPark featured over 100 robots in various application scenarios, with UBTECH, the world's first humanoid robot company listed in Hong Kong, reporting results well beyond expectations. InnoEX focused on five key areas: AI+, Robotics, Low-altitude Economy, Property Technology and Retail Technology, bringing together exhibitors from 21 countries and regions. The UK Pavilion and Macao Pavilion saw strong buyer turnout, with Macao exhibitors alone holding more than 280 business meetings during the first three days. Universities, research institutes and leading technology enterprises including Huawei, China Mobile Hong Kong, HKT and Lenovo participated, with Huawei organizing Huawei Hong Kong Tech Week 2026 concurrently to explore AI+ applications across various sectors.
Chinese Mainland pavilions from 17 provinces and municipalities participated, with the Zhongguancun Beijing Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovation Center noting strong interest from institutions and enterprises from Brazil, Germany, India, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea and the Middle East. The Electronics Fair presented three major areas including Smart Home & Solutions, Health Tech & Gadgets, and Pet Intelligence, with around 60 products launched for the first time. Local company HelloBaby showcased its latest baby monitor products, while Australian manufacturer Carmate Electronics Pty Ltd reported potential transactions of around US$200,000 on the first day with expectations of follow-up orders reaching US$400,000 to US$500,000.
Michael Lin, General Manager of Carmate Electronics, noted that amid heightened China-US tensions, Hong Kong's unique role as an international platform has positioned the city as an important bridge between overseas and Chinese Mainland enterprises. Over 100 events with more than 260 speakers addressed industry trends across five major thematic areas. The Hong Kong Computer Society co-organized the session 'From +AI to AI+: Enhancing Workplace Performance,' while InnoEX co-organized the 'Low-altitude Economy Development Conference' with distinguished guests including Michael Wong, Deputy Financial Secretary of the HKSAR, and Bakhtiyar Mukhametkaliyev, Vice Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan.
Survey results from an independent institution interviewing 347 exhibitors and buyers at InnoEX and 648 at the Electronics Fair revealed significant trends: 81% of respondents expressed interest in expanding into emerging markets including Europe, ASEAN, the Chinese Mainland, and Latin America, while 78% indicated their companies have already explored or adopted generative AI technologies. Regarding generative AI applications, 42% of respondents said they have applied or are planning to apply it to sales and customer communications, 40% to data analysis and reporting, and 39% to product design and research and development. For the Electronics Fair, 59% of respondents expect sales revenue to increase in the next one to two years, with 33% believing consumers are willing to pay an 11% to 20% premium for products supporting smart home or artificial intelligence applications.
