Julia Pieri Wins Community Impact Through Animal Service Scholarship From Blakeley Car Accident Personal Injury Lawyers

Florida State University student Julia Pieri has been named the recipient of the Community Impact Through Animal Service Scholarship from Blakeley Car Accident & Personal Injury Lawyers. The scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate a commitment to helping animals in need within their local communities. Pieri's story of caring for a foster dog named Zeke stood out to the selection committee.

Pieri took over the responsibility of caring for Zeke after her friend, who was originally fostering the dog, fell ill. "Helping care for Zeke also showed me how important foster networks are for rescue animals," Pieri said. "Foster dogs rely on stability, routine, and kindness while they transition from uncertain pasts to hopeful futures. By stepping in while my friend was sick, I was able to help maintain that stability for him."

Beyond her animal advocacy, Pieri is pursuing dual degrees in Accounting and Economics with a minor in Commercial Entrepreneurship at Florida State University. She is also active in pageants and advocates for breast cancer research, and she volunteers with the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program. Her professional aspirations include a summer 2026 internship as a Receivable Intern at SBA Communications and a planned Tax Intern position at CohnReznick in 2027. After graduation, she intends to pursue a Master's degree and sit for the CPA exam, with the goal of becoming a Certified Public Accountant specializing in tax and public accounting.
