Kairos Pharma announced plans to acquire rights to a Phase 1-ready oral c-MET inhibitor, CL-741, to complement its oncology pipeline, alongside updates on clinical trials for ENV-105 and non-dilutive funding exceeding $8 million.

Kairos Pharma Ltd. (NYSE American: KAPA) provided a mid-year 2026 update, outlining significant pipeline expansion and clinical milestones. The company plans to acquire worldwide rights to CL-741, a Phase 1-ready oral c-MET kinase inhibitor from Celyn Therapeutics, targeting EGFR-mutated lung cancer and other cancers. This acquisition would enhance Kairos Pharma's existing portfolio, which includes ENV-105, KROS-201, KROS-102 and ENV-205.
CL-741 is designed to address tumors with MET amplification or overexpression, a common resistance mechanism to EGFR inhibitors. The addition of this candidate could position Kairos Pharma to address a broader range of oncology indications and potentially improve outcomes for patients with resistant cancers. The company expects to initiate a Phase 1 study of CL-741, advancing its preclinical and clinical pipeline.
Kairos Pharma also highlighted progress with its lead candidate, ENV-105, an antibody targeting CD105. ENV-105 is currently in a Phase 2 trial for castrate-resistant prostate cancer and a Phase 1 trial for non-small cell lung cancer. The company plans to present data from these trials at upcoming scientific meetings and pursue pharmaceutical collaborations to accelerate development.
To support these initiatives, Kairos Pharma has secured more than $8 million in non-dilutive funding, which will be used to advance both preclinical and clinical programs. The company noted that this funding provides financial flexibility without diluting existing shareholders.
The mid-year update underscores Kairos Pharma's strategic focus on expanding its oncology pipeline through targeted acquisitions and advancing its core assets. The proposed acquisition of CL-741 reflects the company's commitment to addressing drug resistance and immune suppression in cancer, areas where standard therapies often fail. By targeting c-MET, CL-741 could offer a new treatment option for patients who develop resistance to EGFR inhibitors, a common challenge in lung cancer therapy.
Kairos Pharma's pipeline also includes KROS-201, KROS-102 and ENV-205, though details on these programs were not disclosed in the update. The company's approach leverages structural biology to identify and target key drivers of resistance, aiming to restore the effectiveness of standard treatments.
