KAP AG Appoints Ralph Rumberg as Chief Transformation Officer to Accelerate Corporate Restructuring

The Supervisory Board of KAP AG appointed Ralph Rumberg to the Company's Management Board as Chief Transformation Officer for a twelve-month term. This strategic move aims to enhance the Group's competitiveness in a rapidly evolving market environment and accelerate the implementation of transformation initiatives. Rumberg's primary responsibilities will include speeding up operational performance improvements across the company's portfolio and developing a future-oriented concept to ensure sustained profitability for KAP AG.

The Management Board now comprises four members, including Marten Julius as Spokesman, Thorsten Diel, and Stefan Deller. However, the temporary appointments of Diel and Deller will conclude as scheduled on October 9, 2025. Christian Schmitz, Chairman of KAP AG's Supervisory Board, emphasized that Rumberg brings proven expertise in developing and executing sustainable transformation and strategy programs for industrial holding companies, expressing confidence that his contributions will generate new momentum for the organization.

Marten Julius noted that the company has already made preliminary progress in recent months through portfolio optimization efforts, process streamlining, structural adaptations, and synergy realization. He described Rumberg as a recognized expert in industrial sector transformations whose additional expertise will help further accelerate the ongoing transformation process. Rumberg's extensive background includes leadership roles at BMW Motorsport, AMG Mercedes-Benz, Bosch Rexroth, and KOKI Technik, complemented by his mechanical engineering education.

Most recently, Rumberg served as CEO of GESCO SE for six years, where he successfully restructured the company's investment portfolio, reduced its automotive sector dependency, and developed and implemented a comprehensive strategy program. In his new role at KAP AG, Rumberg expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity and gratitude for the Supervisory Board's trust, committing to leverage his diverse transformation experience to optimally develop the company in collaboration with the management team.
