Kaufman & Company's launch of eight distinct brands clarifies its diverse real estate and infrastructure offerings, enabling residents, partners, and cities to immediately understand the purpose and audience of each asset.

Kaufman & Company, the permanent capital holding company founded by Daniel Kaufman, has unveiled eight brands that will serve as the public face of its extensive portfolio. The brands—Haven, Foundry, Trellis, Convivium, Everwell, District, Weekender, and ZeroPoint—are organized into three categories: Residential, Places, and Infrastructure. This strategic move comes as the platform has grown to ten operating companies spanning residential development, workforce housing, AI infrastructure, and venture capital across 24 states.
The rationale behind the launch is straightforward: as the company expanded, the names on legal documents no longer matched how residents, partners, and cities actually experience the work. A family seeking an attainable home, a nurse looking for an apartment near the hospital, a retiree desiring an active community, and a hyperscale tenant needing power and capacity all have distinct needs. The new brands provide each audience with a clear answer about what they are getting, before they ever need to know which entity built it.
Each brand represents a community or asset class focus, not a separate legal entity. Every brand is endorsed by Kaufman & Company and is designed, built, and operated by one of its ten operating companies, ensuring that the development discipline, balance sheet, and long-term ownership behind every address remain consistent. "We have been building across almost every asset class at once, and the work deserved names that say what it is," said Daniel Kaufman, Founder and CEO. "A Haven community, a Foundry community and a ZeroPoint campus solve very different problems. Our operating companies still do the building. The brands tell residents, partners and cities what they can count on from us, wherever we show up."
In the Residential category, Haven focuses on attainable housing, built on the belief that attainable housing is an infrastructure problem, not a charity problem, and the fix is more well-built supply, not lower standards. Foundry targets workforce housing communities, building well-designed homes near employment centers, transit, and everyday life for teachers, nurses, tradespeople, and first responders. Trellis serves as the scalable middle market brand, offering townhomes, cottages, small multifamily buildings, and build-to-rent neighborhoods. Convivium is a vertically integrated platform for tech-forward residential, co-living, co-working, and hospitality communities, addressing both cost-burdened renters and those seeking community. Everwell is the active adult and independent living brand, designed for people who have no intention of slowing down.
Under Places, District creates mixed-use destinations—walkable places where people live, work, dine, gather, and connect within the same few blocks. Weekender is the company's design-driven hospitality brand, building boutique and destination hotels around a specific place rather than a repeatable room count.
For Infrastructure, ZeroPoint is the institutional brand for the physical buildings, power systems, and networks that run the next generation of artificial intelligence and distributed computing. Its first deployment, Project Zero, is a working distributed micro data center prototype installed on site in Detroit, Michigan. The pipeline includes the Rio Grande Data Campus in El Paso, Texas, and the Wasatch Data Campus in Utah, both joint ventures between Lonestar Kaufman Development Partners and ServerDomes Global.
The brand rollout will continue over the next twelve months, with every asset in the current portfolio and future pipeline being rebranded under the appropriate brand, including signage, websites, marketing materials, and resident-facing communications. Several pipeline communities have already transitioned, including Haven at Shelburne, Foundry's Falls Landing, Trellis's Greenview Residences, and Everwell at Harpeth Reserve. New opportunities will launch under a brand from day one. The ten operating companies remain the builders and operators behind every brand, and existing partners, lenders, and municipal relationships continue unchanged.
"The rollout is going to take a year because we want to get it right, one community at a time," Kaufman added. "By this time next year, anyone who drives past one of our properties, visits one of our sites or partners with us on a deal should be able to tell exactly what we built and who we built it for." This branding initiative underscores Kaufman & Company's commitment to clarity and consistency as it scales across multiple asset classes, positioning itself to better serve diverse stakeholders while maintaining operational excellence.
