LaFleur Minerals' new CEO appointment and ongoing Trafigura due diligence signal strategic moves to advance its Beacon Gold Mill and Swanson Gold Project.

LaFleur Minerals Inc. (CSE: LFLR) (OTCQB: LFLRF) (FSE: 3WK0) has announced the appointment of Andrew Elinesky as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, alongside updates on the company's Beacon Gold Mill and the due diligence process with Trafigura Canada Limited regarding proposed prepayment and gold doré offtake arrangements. This leadership transition comes at a critical juncture as the company seeks to advance its flagship projects in the Abitibi Gold Belt.
Elinesky brings over two decades of senior executive and financial leadership experience, having most recently served as president and CEO of Sabre Gold Mines Corp., which was acquired in February 2025. In his new role, he will oversee corporate strategy, capital markets, financing, and investor relations. Paul Ténière, the former CEO, will continue as president and a director, focusing on the company's technical and operational activities. This division of responsibilities is designed to leverage Elinesky's capital markets expertise while retaining Ténière's operational knowledge, positioning LaFleur for accelerated growth.
The announcement also provided updates on the due diligence process with Trafigura. Representatives from Trafigura and company management completed a two-day site visit to the Beacon Gold Mill and Swanson Gold Project on August 10-11. The visit included an inspection of the mill and process circuits, a review of recommissioning progress, and an inspection of the ongoing diamond drilling program at the Swanson Deposit. LaFleur and Trafigura continue to advance due diligence regarding the proposed prepayment and gold doré offtake arrangements, although the company noted there is no assurance that definitive agreements will be reached or that they will be on the terms currently contemplated.
The potential Trafigura deal is significant for LaFleur. A prepayment and offtake agreement could provide the necessary financing to restart the Beacon Gold Mill and advance the Swanson Gold Project. The Beacon Gold Mill has a capacity of over 750 tonnes per day and is being considered for processing mineralized material from Swanson as well as custom milling for other nearby projects. The Swanson Gold Project, which includes a total of 481 claims and one mining lease covering 200.7 square kilometers, has several gold and critical metals prospects and is easily accessible by road, enhancing its development potential.
LaFleur recently released a positive Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for the Swanson Gold Project and the planned restart of the Beacon Gold Mill. The PEA is preliminary in nature and includes inferred mineral resources that are considered too speculative geologically to have economic considerations applied to them for categorization as mineral reserves. There is no certainty that the results of the PEA will be realized.
The company's consolidation of a large land package along a major structural break hosting the Swanson, Bartec, and Jolin gold deposits underscores its strategic focus on district-scale gold projects. With the new CEO at the helm and progress in due diligence with a major commodity trader like Trafigura, LaFleur is positioning itself for potential growth and development.
Investors and stakeholders will be watching closely as the due diligence process concludes and as Elinesky implements his strategic vision. For more information on LaFleur Minerals, visit the company's newsroom at http://ibn.fm/LFLRF.
