LATINAFest 2026 Celebrates 'UNSTOPPABLE' Latina Growth and Economic Power

The 9th annual LATINAFest returns to Jesse Brewer Park in Exposition Park on June 7, 2026, celebrating Latina culture, community, and entrepreneurship with the theme "UNSTOPPABLE." This theme reflects the substantial demographic and economic influence of Latinas, who represent over 22.2 million women and constitute the fastest-growing major female ethnic group in the United States. The festival serves as a prelude to Los Angeles hosting FIFA events, leveraging the city's international spotlight to amplify Latina visibility and impact.

LATINAFest co-founder Bel Hernandez Castillo emphasized that marketing to Latinas should be viewed as a business strategy rather than a diversity initiative, stating, "Latinas are not a trend—we are the future of growth." The festival's philosophy, "Culture Is the New Currency," underpins its focus on showcasing Latina-owned businesses, with over 100 exhibitors and vendors expected. According to Forbes, Latina founders are starting businesses at faster rates than any other demographic group in the U.S., highlighting their role in driving national economic growth. Co-founder Naibe Reynoso described LATINAFest as "a movement" that integrates culture, commerce, and community to celebrate Latina power.

The 2026 festival will feature diverse programming, including a keynote by celebrity event planner Loriann Serna of Wife of the Party, an opening ceremony with choreographer Stephanie Stevens, and an author's panel with Reyna Grande and Julissa Arce. Additional events include a "Breaking the Silence" panel addressing community stories, live selling experiences powered by Viva Shop, morning yoga and wellness activities, art installations, musical performances, and a cocktail garden with tequila and mezcal tastings. The festival anticipates exceeding its 2025 attendance of 4,000 guests, supported by sponsors like Angel City FC, Square, AARP, and El Clasificado.

Leading up to the main event, LATINAFest will host a Taste of LATINAFest on May 16, 2026, in partnership with METRO, and a LATINAFest 5K Fun Run on May 30, 2026, sponsored by Angel City. These events aim to foster community engagement and wellness. The festival's growing impact underscores the economic significance of Latinas, who saw a population increase of 5.6 million from 2010 to 2022, the largest numeric growth among major female demographic groups.
