Lime's micromobility services in Atlanta have seen a 45% increase in ridership, reaching over 1 million trips in the first half of 2025, highlighting the city's growing preference for sustainable transportation options.

Atlanta's embrace of micromobility has reached a new milestone, with Lime reporting over 1 million trips in the first half of 2025, a 45% increase from the previous year. June alone witnessed 205,348 rides, underscoring the city's sustained interest in eco-friendly transportation alternatives. Carol Antunez, Senior Manager of Government Relations at Lime, attributed this growth to the company's deep integration into the city's daily life and its ongoing investments in community initiatives and new vehicle models like the LimeBike and Lime Glider.
Lime's commitment to inclusivity and community support was evident during Pride Month, with the company partnering with Out Front Theatre and Schaf Shop to celebrate and uplift LGBTQIA+ voices and businesses. These efforts, part of Lime's global 'Ride Forward' campaign, included Pride-themed vehicles and community events, reinforcing the company's dedication to fostering safe and welcoming spaces.
Furthering its investment in Atlanta, Lime introduced the LimeBike, designed for accessibility, and launched no-cost First Ride Academies in partnership with the Atlanta Beltline Partnership. These initiatives aim to educate riders on safe e-bike usage, with complimentary helmets provided to participants. Lime's environmental efforts were also highlighted, with a 66.8% reduction in carbon emissions intensity in 2024, aligning with its goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2030.
Lime's success in Atlanta reflects its strategy of combining global expertise with local engagement, ensuring micromobility solutions meet the unique needs of each community. This approach has not only enhanced transportation options but also contributed to a greener, more connected urban environment.
