Linortek's new IP-based paging system addresses installation complexity and cost concerns in small to mid-sized facilities by leveraging existing network infrastructure.

Linortek has introduced the Netbell IP Paging System, a network-based communication platform designed for schools, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, government, and other commercial buildings. The system utilizes Power over Ethernet to deliver both power and audio through standard network cabling, eliminating the need for separate amplifiers and dedicated speaker wire runs typical of traditional public address systems. The company developed the system in response to customer feedback about complexity and support challenges with legacy paging systems from established manufacturers.
According to Linortek, many facilities struggle with systems that use multiple modules for different functions, require professional contractors for installation, and become difficult to modify or troubleshoot over time. The company reports that site visits revealed installations where facility staff could not determine system architecture or make changes without expensive manufacturer support services. Liyu Nalven, President of Linortek, stated that customer feedback centers on installation complexity and total cost of ownership, noting that by using existing network infrastructure, facilities can deploy the system using their own IT staff rather than specialized AV contractors.
The Netbell system is available in two protocol variants. The IP speaker line uses Linortek's proprietary network audio protocol and is managed through a desktop configuration tool. The SIP speaker line implements the Session Initiation Protocol, allowing direct integration with standards-compliant VoIP phone systems and other SIP-enabled devices. Both product lines support unicast, multicast, and broadcast network protocols, with the multicast implementation allowing a single audio source to reach multiple speakers simultaneously without requiring individual network communication to each endpoint.
Hardware options include horn speakers rated at 30 watts for industrial environments, wall-mounted speakers at 20 watts for corridors, and ceiling-mounted speakers at 30 watts for office spaces. All models operate on 802.3at PoE power standards. The platform supports multiple use cases beyond basic paging, with the Netbell-NTG-B controller module enabling scheduling of up to 500 automated events through a web interface for shift changes, break bells, emergency notifications, or routine announcements. The system can also integrate with building systems such as fire alarms and security panels through digital input connections or RESTful API.
For VoIP integration, SIP speakers register directly as extensions on compatible phone systems, while IP speakers require the AU-711-SIP gateway device. Additional hardware modules include IP-based microphone call stations with zone control capabilities, two-way intercom terminals for entrance points, and IP call boxes for distributed announcement stations. The system operates on local area networks and does not require internet connectivity or cloud services, which according to Linortek eliminates recurring subscription fees common with cloud-based alternatives.
Linortek has positioned the system for educational institutions requiring class change bells and emergency notification capabilities, manufacturing facilities needing shift management and safety alerts, warehouse operations managing break schedules and visitor notifications, and government and commercial buildings requiring multi-zone announcement systems. The company states that the system meets OSHA requirements for employee alarm systems in industrial settings. The Netbell IP Paging System is available through Linortek's online store, with pre-configured system kits starting at $958 and individual components for custom installations.
