Locally-Made Dragon Con Vodka and Apple Pie Cider Welcome Fans to Atlanta for the Convention's 40th Anniversary

As Dragon Con celebrates its 40th anniversary this Labor Day weekend, Atlanta Hard Cider Co. & Distillery is marking the occasion with two commemorative products made in Marietta: Dragon Con Vodka and Dragon Con Apple Pie Craft Cider. The distillery returns as the Official Vodka of Dragon Con for a second consecutive year, while the Apple Pie Cider is a new release for 2026. Both products will be available throughout the Dragon Con footprint in downtown Atlanta from September 3 to 7, including at branded hotel bars, specialty cocktails, fan events, and local retailers.

“We make everything in Marietta, so there's something special about welcoming Dragon Con fans with products made right here,” said Mark Deno, founder of Atlanta Distillery. “This partnership lets us share a little more of Atlanta with people coming from all over the world.” The collaboration highlights the local economic impact of the convention, which draws tens of thousands of visitors annually and significantly boosts Atlanta's hospitality and retail sectors.

At the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, fans can find Dragon Con Vodka and Apple Pie Cider at the Lobby Market, seven Dragon Con-branded satellite bars, and Twenty-Two Storys Lobby Bar. The specialty cocktail “The 1986,” made with Dragon Con Vodka, will be available for guests. The Hilton Atlanta will feature both products at The MarketPlace, including a Dragon Con Bundle with one 750 mL bottle of Dragon Con Vodka and four 8-ounce Filthy Bloody Mary pouches. Trader Vic's will host a Dragon Con Vodka and Red Bull tasting and promotion on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., featuring a cocktail made with Dragon Con Vodka and Red Bull Energy Drink.

At the Westin Peachtree Plaza, Bar 210 will serve Dragon Con Vodka cocktails and Apple Pie Cider, with both products also available in the hotel's grab-and-go convenience store and through room service. The Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown will offer both products in its grab-and-go area and featured product display. Max Lager's Wood-Fired Grill & Brewery will offer Apple Pie Cider along with a specialty cocktail featuring Dragon Con Vodka.

Dragon Con events and activations include the Red Phone Booth transforming from red to blue for a Doctor Who-inspired experience, with programming across Red Phone Booth, Amalfi, Peachtree Sporting Club, and American Dive. A collectible comic-book-style cocktail menu will feature Dragon Con Vodka, Dragon Con Apple Pie Craft Cider, and Short Barrel's Dragon Con Whiskey across the four venues. The Dragon Con Cigar Group Kickoff will take place Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Red Phone Booth, featuring specialty cocktails, giveaways, and swag. On Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon, fans can gather for a Dragon Con Parade Watch Party and Disco Breakfast in the Grand Ballroom.

Fans can follow @atldistillery and @atlantahardcider for announcements regarding additional tastings, cocktails, and activations throughout the weekend. To take Dragon Con home, products are available at participating Atlanta-area retailers including Peachtree Package Store, Sol's Liquor, Green's on Ponce, Publix at Piedmont, and Kroger on Ponce de Leon Avenue. Online ordering is available at DragonConSpirits.com through September 30, while supplies last.

This local partnership underscores the symbiotic relationship between Dragon Con and Atlanta's businesses. By offering locally crafted products, the distillery not only enhances the fan experience but also reinforces the convention's identity as a uniquely Atlanta event. The availability of these products in hotels and retailers ensures that attendees can engage with the local culture, contributing to the city's economy and cementing Dragon Con's role as a major driver of tourism and commerce during Labor Day weekend.
