Mainly Mozart Announces Two-Year Artistic Partnership with Renowned Pianist Anton Nel

Mainly Mozart has selected internationally acclaimed pianist Anton Nel as its Artistic Partner for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, a partnership that celebrates Nel's deep connection to the organization and his extraordinary musical contributions. Nel, who first performed with the festival in 1989 as its inaugural featured outdoor stage soloist, will bring his renowned musical talents to a series of performances and pre-concert events.

Nel, a South African-born pianist who gained international recognition after winning the 1987 Naumburg International Piano Competition, will perform with the Mainly Mozart All-Star Orchestra at the Baker-Baum Concert Hall in The Conrad. His performances will showcase a diverse repertoire including works by Vivaldi, Bach, and contemporary composer Noah Bendix-Balgley, demonstrating his versatility and musical range.

Beyond performances, Nel will host exclusive pre-concert recitals for subscribers and donors, offering an intimate exploration of Mozart's chamber and solo piano masterworks.
