Massamagrell Advances Cultural Innovation Through 9th Holy Grail Path Cultural Week

The municipality of Massamagrell in Valencia successfully hosted the 9th Cultural Week "The Path of the Holy Grail" from October 20 to 24, establishing itself as a leading European cultural event that integrates heritage, knowledge, spirituality, and local development. Organized by the Cultural Association "The Path of the Holy Grail" and the International Association "The Path of the Holy Grail" Cultural Itinerary, with active collaboration from the Massamagrell City Council, the event showcased institutional cooperation and cultural innovation. Under the theme "Valencia, Jubilee City, The Path of the Holy Grail," the week featured exhibitions, conferences, roundtables, dramatized tours, and radio broadcasts with a pioneering approach to measuring social, cultural, and environmental impact.

The event utilized the Local Impact Observatory and the REGENERA Tur-IA CUBE technological platform, both coordinated by ARTCARE Consulting, to collect attendance indicators, citizen perception data, and tangible results. These tools contributed to developing a regenerative and smart tourism model aligned with the Council of Europe's Cultural Route standards. Dr. Ana Mafé García, president of the Association, along with secretary Jesús Gimeno and scientific committee representatives, led a program addressing cultural diplomacy, route signage, peace culture, and intercultural dialogue. These elements support the ongoing certification process with the Council of Europe, positioning Massamagrell and the Valencian Community alongside historic European routes like the Way of St. James and Viking Routes.

The week's activities began with the inauguration on October 20, featuring the exhibition "The Holy Grail" and a special radio program on Play Radio Valencia 107.7 FM that emphasized heritage memory and citizen participation. October 21 included a lecture on the Holy Chalice's epigraphy and the traditional Pilgrim's Mass officiated by José Ribes Perea, strengthening the route's spiritual connections. October 22 featured panels on "Cultural Diplomacy" and "The Camino and Signage" moderated by Dr. Fernando Molina Pons and Carmen de la Cagiga, focusing on institutional cooperation, participatory design, and shared governance. October 23 included another radio program broadcasting the Camino's progress, while October 24 concluded with the dramatized route "The Library Path," an immersive experience combining history, art, and community engagement.

The event coincided with the 2024 anniversary of DANA (National Association of Cultural and Cultural Organizations), highlighting the municipality's resilience and commitment to cultural regeneration. Through ARTCARE Consulting's methodology, Massamagrell has become a living laboratory for regenerative experiences where culture's added value to the population is systematically measured.
